Who is writing here
My name is Tobias Reymond. I am an IT specialist with a Swiss federal diploma (EFZ) and I live in Känerkinden, in the canton of Basel-Landschaft. The Basel region is home; the rest happens at the keyboard.
This page is my CV on the web. It shows where I come from, what I work on and how to reach me – without a detour through a network that needs an account of your own.
I like things that work: cleanly built, quick to load, with no dead weight. What I don't know, I look up. What I can do, I would rather show than claim.

What I do
Three fields I feel at home in.
Software & web
Building websites and small systems: PHP at the back, JavaScript at the front, and a lot of thinking about structure in between. Preferably without five frameworks that nobody understands afterwards.
Tech & operations
Setting up servers, wiring domains, checking backups, hunting down errors. The part nobody sees – and the one everybody notices the moment it is missing.
Design
A clean layout is not decoration. I like pages that look calm, load quickly and work on a phone just as well as on a large screen.

A website system I build myself: page builder, editor and client area in one. This page runs on it.

Apprenticeship
Four years of training as an IT specialist: company and vocational school side by side. At the end comes the Swiss federal diploma.

It started with small scripts meant to solve some problem. At some point whole websites came out of it.
